There are many tours that will take tourists to Bedugul. One of those tours is found on this page. It's called the "Western Bali Wonderland Tour". I have personally taken this tour and it was a wonderful experience. It definitely is well worth visiting for those who love the culture and beauty of Bali.
This is the scene I was taken aback by when I first arrived here. The botanical gardens around here are really quite amazing. The whole area is surrounded by lush green well landscaped lawns and gardens.
I took another picture after walking a bit further down towards the famous Ulan Danu temple to show more of the spectacular gardens. I was not surprised to find many tourists around here.
From here I was quite close to Lake Bratan and the Ulun Dalu temple is close to this area.
From here I was standing on the pathway right next to the lake heading towards the temple. This is a great view of the famous temple that many tourists come to see.
I have always found there is usually lots of cloud and mist here because of the high altitude. It's more than 700 meters in altitude in this part of Bali.
After walking down the path a little way, I took another picture of the temple standing a little bit closer. Tourists are not allowed to actually go onto the section where the temple resides.
From here I was standing on the other side of the temple from the first picture I took of it above. It's a bit further down the pathway in this position. There were many tourists walking up and down the path around this area taking lots of pictures and videos.
As I mentioned above, there is usually a lot of mist and cloud cover here due to being in the mountains. This picture I took shows a good view of the thick cloud cover.
At times it's even more misty than this and as a result is sometimes quite cool here. Unlike the coastal areas of Bali where it's usually hot all year around, the climate here does tend to be somewhat cooler. It's best to come here with some extra clothing just in case.
I decided to walk around and take a look at some more of the gardens. I was walking through some of the many pathways that people can walk down to enjoy the scenic gardens.
This is the front of the restaurant that sits right next to Lake Bratan. They have a good selection of dishes to choose from that are very tasty.
People can sit out here in the front section of the restaurant to enjoy their meals.
I took this picture when first walking inside the restaurant. There weren't too many people here at this time because it was in the afternoon after lunchtime.
They have a great smorgasbord buffet style arrangement in this restaurant. You can eat as much as you want and choose whatever you wish to eat.
This is the view from inside the restaurant overlooking the gardens and Lake Bratan.
There is an entry point to the restaurant from here and you can sit outside to have your meal.
After enjoying a tasty meal at the restaurant I decided to go for another walk. This is another long pathway that tourists can go to enjoy the beautiful scenery all around Bedugul.
Before coming here I had heard a lot about it and seen many pictures. To really experience the true beauty of this place is something you have to be here to see for yourself. There are places to eat and a variety of stores to find some souvenirs.
It truly is one of the highlights about Bali and I had no regrets at all after my visit to this amazing place. It's no surprise at all that many tourists frequently come to Bedugul.
The Pura Ulun Danu Bratan is a water temple located in Bedugul. This is amongst the most commonly visited temples in all of Bali. The historical temple was constructed in 1663 and it was built for the purpose of offerings and ceremonies to the water godess Dewi Danu. Sourced from Wikipedia.
