The Ngurah Rai International Airport is the international gateway for all air travel to Bali. The pictures I've taken here show an overview of the airport.
This is a photo taken from the plane showing the airport. Depending on what side of the plane you're sitting upon landing in Bali, this is the scene you will see.
Here is the main entrance to the airport.
The airport has 3 levels and here on the ground level is where all the passengers are being picked up and waiting for taxis. I was facing to my left when I took this picture after walking down towards the main entrance of the airport.
In this picture I was facing to my right standing in the same position as the picture above.
The ground level of the Ngurah Rai International Airport shown below has some cafes and stores. The domestic terminal is also located on the ground level.
This is another picture I took further into the airport still on the ground level. This is where many people will be waiting for arrivals to Bali. In the distance is a cafe where you can relax and have a bite to eat.
In this picture I was standing on one end of the ground level looking towards the other end.
These are the lifts that will take you up to the 3rd level where the international terminal is located.
On the far right hand side of the airport is where the bathrooms are located pictured below. The bathrooms are clean and modern. The whole entire building is only new as of late 2013 so there are some parts still under construction.
There are always lots of taxi drivers or other private drivers wandering around looking for business. It's a good idea to look for the Bluebird taxis or find one of the taxi counters where they give you a predefined price for your trip.
Buses run in Bali too which is handy for those who don't want to take a taxi or hire a driver. I took this picture of the Bus Pariwisata which is a bus company in Bali.
You can't miss the friendly welcoming signs outside the airport for all visitors to Bali
Here is a map that shows where the airport is located in Bali. It's in the south western part of Bali just north of Jimbaran. Approximately 15 minutes from Kuta and 25 minutes from Denpasar.
